What is Positive Psychology?

Positive Psychology combines brain neuroscience and use of thought and attitude to life to help us to change the way the brain works.

Naturally, the brain veers towards the negative and when we are under large amounts of stress for long periods of time the brain becomes wired for continued negativity.

Positive Psychology provides proven methods to re-wire the brain and to work on the positive thinking to enable calm. In turn, this reduces the stress alert systems in the brain and body bringing you back to a sense of peace of mind, an ability to cope better and more balanced approach to difficult situations.

Benefits include….

  • Better mental well being
  • Increased likelihood of achieving goals
  • Improved relationships
  • Positive and helpful attitudes to problems
  • Increased resilience
  • Improved problem-solving skills
  • Autonomy- better sense of personal control

I provide positive psychology sessions on a 1-1 basis or you can join a retreat weekend where Positive Psychology is a core element on the programme.

1-1 sessions can be conducted via Skype or face to face dependent on your location.

What our clients say....

"My experience with Vanessa from the start was positive. Obviously seeing a coach at first can be really unnerving, but she made me feel at ease and once you get talking about the problems that you wish to discuss and reach out for guidance. You start to feel progress into positive thoughts. I became very settled and comfortable very quickly. She has helped me through a lot and I would recommend her to anyone. You feel you can say anything without judgement. Seeing Vanessa has changed my life for the better."
